Our mission at Happy Body, Healthy Mind is to create a community built on and supported by a foundation of total health and well-being. We recognize that holistic health means looking at the whole person, which includes not only our physicality and state of mental and emotional health, but also our race, gender, sexual orientation, age, environment, religious/spiritual background and our personal history.
We strive to live a yogic lifestyle, which attempts to behave consciously at all times. But we also recognize that each individual comes to us in different stages of foundational health. We believe that meeting each person where they are in their hierarchy of needs, is what will give them the best tools to operate from a state of well-being, rather than from one of discord or dis-ease.
We use movement, mindfulness, meditation, breath work, art and play to teach self-regulation and also place a strong emphasis on taking care of other people, other creatures, and our planet.
